Alright guys, today we're going to talk about something that is going to be the bane of your existence as you start to build your platform. And that's going to be called today's episodes called technical difficulties. Now that is such an understatement that it's not even funny as you start to do this, you're going to soon hit many brick walls called technical difficulties.

Because even though there are more tools than ever, there are more help manuals than ever, there are better software than ever. It has gotten easier to do this stuff, you will still find many terrific technical difficulties along your journey.

Just the last two days alone, I spent figuring out new plug forms knew how to set things up like DK I am which only note that stands for SPF which again, I don't even know what that stands for.

But basically, that's for improving your email deliverability Because spammers ruin it for us, especially when we're we're focusing on email marketing, which is what any business should really have a huge emphasis and focus on is building that list. We've talked about this through many episodes of owning the traffic that you borrow.

So whether you're posting to YouTube, Facebook, to podcasts, whatever you want to as quickly as you can turn that borrowed traffic from those platforms, aka the listeners that they send your way or listeners that find you and you want to send them to a property that you own and send them to an autoresponder.

An autoresponder is a software that allows you to get, give them something of value in exchange for their email address, very important. That is your number one mission is to get is to collect their email address. And how you legally do that is by offering them something of value on a page or platform or whatever, and having your autoresponder code there.

And we'll talk more about autoresponders and stuff like that later, and all the specifics. But I really want to get this foundational stuff. We did some mental stuff, we did some mindset during thing. But today, I want you to understand and expect technical difficulties, almost every step of the way.

One of the most beautiful things about technical difficulty is when you're building a business, especially if you're using the internet as a tool, which that is all that it is the internet is not a business. Internet Marketing is not, quote unquote, a business. Internet marketing is a tool.

There are many markers that merge old school mailing techniques with internet marketing, I've done that myself where you actually mail out physical newsletters to people or physical sales letters or copy to people. And people actually look forward to mail again, which is kind of interesting if you do it, right.

So we'll talk more about advanced things like sending mail and how you don't send fancy little flyers or stuff like that, like everybody else is doing. You always need to be able to stick out how do I stand out? How do I get my ad looked at how do I get my opportunity opened and examined.

And if I were to send out a piece of mail today, would it be a bubble wrap paper, a bubble wrap envelope or a bubble envelope and it would have something generally inside you know, in people usually open envelopes that are bubble envelopes, they just do. It's gonna cost you a little bit more but at least your your message is going to be looked at.

That's the first step. So your first sale that you'll ever make is getting people to look at your stuff. Okay? So you're standing out, positioning yourself in such a way that people will pay attention to you through the sea of noise, okay. And so just understand that no matter whatever you decide Do you no matter how perfect your plans are, remember what we said, being an entrepreneur is being a doer, okay?

If you're a doer, you're an entrepreneur. And that means as you're doing, you're quickly going to find that it's going to be a pain to set up even the best technologies that you can find. Let's say that you're using a platform. Some of them that exist at this time, there may be ones later on down the line that don't exist yet.

But for example, like Kajabi, or Clickfunnels, or, you know, Infusionsoft or what all these kind of different things. They're very powerful pieces of software that allow you to automate a lot of parts of your business. But the problem is, the learning curve is steep. And you may even end up having to hire someone to actually help you learn how to use the tool or is hire someone in perpetuity to use the tool for you.

Because it's so complicated and ever changing. Their interfaces are always growing, just the way Google and Facebook and all these other places. And there may be more that I haven't mentioned here, because they don't exist yet. But their interfaces keep changing. And they keep adding features and taking away features and adding new functionality and ability to do cooler and cooler stuff.

The downside is that it does take away more and more privacy of the general public, which allows them more allows us marketers to be able to capitalize on to be able to target people very specifically, depending on what it is that they're interested in what they want, which allows us to save money by not advertising to the people that are never likely ever going to buy from us.

So but people so far have been willing to make that trade off. You know, you look at the places like Instacart for you're not Instacart humps are Instagram, for example, their terms of service are wild, you know, they can use your mic, and you can correct me if I'm wrong and all these things, but they can they can use your microphone whenever they want to record you.

They can they can use your camera recorder whenever they want to. They follow you around the intranet. They know what sites you visit, they have over 10,000 data points and every user and they belong to Facebook, of course. So both of those sites, they collect massive amounts of data on you. And you'll see in just by using their services you can you consent to that loss of privacy.

By by using that service, you're providing data and data has become the most valuable thing on the planet right now. And marketers use that data to pinpoint with very precisely with precise, pinpoint accuracy. Target their their target market. So back to the main point though, is that implementing any of these things like retargeting and all this other stuff again, I know all this stuff doesn't make sense right now.

But using these things will allow you to be able to send Horta traffic to your site for minimal money, or even free. Okay. And so one of the things that you need to focus on though is that when you hit technical difficulties just like I did the last two days, you just work on it and figure it out until your you get it completed.

So whatever goal it is he set out to do. You continue working on it, until you complete it. The beautiful thing about technical difficulties usually online is that once you set something up like if you're trying to set up a website, or WordPress or you know integrations with the WordPress like I've been working on last couple days.

You're going to have a learning curve. You're going to have difficulties in trying to figure out how to do stuff. How to take the idea that's in your head and make it a reality. Okay. But, you know, if you want to get things done, that's how you have to approach it is a, what's the end result will be worth it. Okay.

So remember, before I practice what I preach, remember before when I told you that you need to make a mechanism by which you can collect email addresses, and change the traffic that you're borrow or turn the traffic that you're borrowing into the traffic that you own. Well, now I have the capability to do that with this niche, okay.

And so I have a website to send you to, and I'd like you to check it out. Okay, it took me a long time to set this up. It's still not perfect, I'm still tweaking it, but essentially offer you something really, really cool and massively value in exchange for email address. And this way, you can see exactly what I'm talking about.

And you'll get a glimpse a glimpse into pretty advanced things. Like disappearing timer, and, and how I write, copy and all the other stuff. All this stuff we will touch on as we continue on through episode.

You'll get to learn very advanced things, stuff that you you through this podcast, I would say that I'll make a very big claim is that you'll learn every secret you'll ever need to know in order to build and grow your business through this podcast alone. So if you don't, if you never even listen to anything else, which I don't recommend just listening to my podcast.

But if you just listen to my podcast, I I can make that claim is that you will learn every secret that you you'll ever need to know in order to build and grow a business. Now, to the level that you want to, I definitely know that you're going to want to follow other people. And you're going to want to, it'll help you to do that while staying focused. Okay.

You don't only want to just limit yourself to one person, but at the same time, you don't want to have 50 million people either. Okay? So just understand that when you hit technical difficulties, keep pushing through it, because then cool things happen.

Now, here's the site that I made, that's a complimentary site first had to buy a domain that matched this part has named none the name of the podcast is marketing secrets. No, my bad. That's not the name of the park as its Russell bronzes pod, it might be the name of my podcast, his secret Marketing podcast. Okay.

So the domain, I bought a secret marketing podcast.com. And then I installed WordPress on there. And then I installed Optimized Press on there. Now we'll talk about the different platforms that you might want to use. But there's specific reasons why I chose these platforms for the first particular reasons.

I don't recommend for it depends on what you're doing. But there are certain there are certain circumstances to which I wouldn't recommend these platforms depending on the kind of business that you have. Okay, but for a lot of businesses, these ones would work. I chose these because of the cost effectiveness.

I've also decided to use I forgot the name of the the other thing I was talking about, we'll talk about it later anyway. But I'm also hosting, I'm using a company I'm going through a company to host my podcast, which allows I chose it because ease of use because it allows me to publish on many platforms

at once, which is very nice, very easy to do. It also has a built in editor which tries to make the noise tries to make the background noise and sounds kind of disappear tries to make the quality of my voice as best as he can. He kind of masters what I what I'm saying my audio automatically, which is a very beautiful thing.

So we'll talk more about all these tools and the specifics and all the other stuff but for now the lesson that I want you to understand is facing technical difficulties and figuring them out and understanding that in internet marketing or marketing itself. You Not everything is done in order. And sometimes it's paradoxical.

You'll feel like you're in a catch 22 I need an email to do this. But then I need this to do an email, yada, yada. And so it can be nerve racking, you can wrack your brain sometimes. But at the end of the day, if you stick with it, and you're consistent, you'll be able to get your goals completed. And you're watching me do this in real time.

And I want you to know that you can do it too. Okay. And so here's what I'd like you to do right now. Go to secret marketing podcast.com. There's really cool offer there that's free in exchange for your email address. That way we can take you from the old podcast, to my list, my email list where I'll be able to send you cool stuff.

Now, this stuff is not cheap stuff, it's not going to be a whole bunch of emails, just marketing you, of course, they will market to you, but you're going to be able to watch what I do. You don't have to buy things that I send you. But you'll be able to see how I deal you build, see how I build relationship with you.

Part of learning marketing is watching Market experience markers and what they do, not so much what they teach. So keep that lens in focus, which is when you subscribe to somebody, watch what they're doing that could be a master class in and of itself and the value of just watching what I'm doing,

Maybe to show you how to do or even spark ideas to inform you into how to approach your marketing or maybe give you ideas to do something a little differently in your business. Okay, so definitely go to what's the URL again? Okay, which is secret marketing podcast.com All right.
