Alright guys, Derek Soto, here we're going to talk about building your business on solid foundation. And it's actually very simple to do that. What you want to do is think about what kind of lifestyle do you want to have? What
kind of schedule? Do you want your what do you want your schedule to look like?
Do you want to wake up and go to an office commute? Do you want to travel the world and work from your computer, or be able to just work from anywhere. With the technology today, millions of people are doing that. So just think write down, like what you want your lifestyle to look like, okay, which is your schedule, I get up and I eat breakfast and exercise, brush my teeth and do all the stuff.
And then I get to work. Some people like to pretend like they're going to work and set up a little office and get dressed and ready and then just go to their home office. But I wouldn't even if your person has a hard time getting anything done. If you're anything like me, just find a quiet spot in your house and just hit record and start there.
And as you start to establish consistency in your channel and posting to it every day, even when you have no clue what to post to it, you're going to find that too is like what I post today just post even if it's about nothing, just post because remember, we talked about just doing it. Okay. But usually you'll find something of substance and the substance today.
And sometimes you could take just a few minutes to think about it before you hit record and you'll have a substantive topic or point that you want to get across.
We'll keep this one simple is to establish foundations for your business for a business that you'll enjoy doing and a business to actually help people and gear and make sure that your business is focused around the experience of your customer and not your wallet. If you do that, you'll be in great shape.
So but in order for that to happen, you need to be happy doing your business because if you're not, it'll bleed over to the customer experience. And they'll be like there's something off with this guy I don't like doing business with this guy seems miserable, he seemed cranky. And people don't like to be around cranky people.
So you got to love what you're doing. So I recommend that you actually pick something that you can do, based on what your crate your own personal criteria is.
So in the next one, we'll talk about how to pick your specific market and stuff like that. But I just wanted to get these in these first several podcast, do some mindset stuff and do some foundational work so that when you actually start to do the fundamentals, he actually hit the ground running.
And you'll be much better off for it. Much better equipped than 99% of marketers out there. And so what I recommend that you do is write down, you know, your ultimate goal of, you know, I want to have a house on a hill, I want to have a house over a lake I want to build to provide for my family, I want to be able to get my message out to the world.
I want to live humbly but I want to be able to get my message out I don't need the money from I don't want to make a million dollars. I just want to make enough money to build to get my message out there consistently to reach more people to help more people.
Or you might be the type of person that wants to have a lifestyle that is elevated because of your business which is okay to as long as you're serving customer first, which is always providing value. So make sure everything is content heavy. So I recommend what I recommend that you do is build your house on solid foundation.
And regardless of how you feel that day if you feel bad if you feel cranky, if you don't feel that well it could help feel that well. Just hit record anyway, and just talk about it and be consistent. And that really is the key. And as simple as it sounds, it can even be hard to do sometimes.
I hesitated yesterday and today about picking up the phone just hitting record because like what he talked about But it's not all really that important, exactly what you talk about, it's that you talk about it, even if you're talking about not knowing what to talk about. So if you're ever in that situation where like, what do I talk about, get on and be like, I have no clue what to talk about.
But I'm showing up, I'm here. And this is how I feel today. Okay, so I recommend that you do that. Because what you're doing for yourself, and you're doing this for yourself in the beginning right now is building that consistency, finding your voice and establishing the habit of being consistent at something.
These are the foundations of an entrepreneur, remember, an entrepreneur is a doer. So you have to do. And once you get your mind and body and everything aligned, where you're used to doing, more substantive stuff will come out of your mouth. Okay? And don't worry about I'm going to run out of things to say.
No, you won't, as you keep doing this, it's actually the opposite, you will have so much stuff to talk about that you could do 10 million posts, and the more posts you do, the more you'll have to talk about, it's actually quite incredible. So I recommend that you continue to just do, okay, be the kind of person that to do or which will make you into an entrepreneur.
So today, write down if you choose to accept this mission is to write down what your future home may look like, even if it's the same home you're in now, you know, people like Warren Buffett, they live very modest life drive a modest car. But at the end of the day, they like to provide value to their clients.
And that's what brings them their joy in their business. And so just write down whatever it is the situation that you want to be in, in the next few years, 5, 10, 15, 20 years. Because you can't hit your finish line if you have no clue where you're running to.
Okay, so I recommend that you do that. And just establish what kind of what kind of lifestyle you want so that you don't end up leaving your job eventually just end up in another nine to five that you create for yourself.
You made an office, you rented an office out, you made your business and now you have to report there as opposed to the job you're reporting to now and you're stuck again on the nine to five wheel. Well, that didn't make much sense unless that's your goal. Okay, so a lot of entrepreneurs fall into that trap of building just another job for themselves and then they're miserable again.
So really identify what your dream lifestyle is. Do you want to build a travel? Do you want to be able to go where you want to go and do what you want to do?
And make sure as you're building your business, it follows those things and say no to anything that would get in the way of those goals. Alright, so we'll talk to you soon. God bless
